Occupational Therapist (Inpatient)Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) | Inpatient Rehabilitation | On-siteAbout the roleThe Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) is responsible for the provision of Occupational Therapy services for an inpatient and/ or outpatient population from age 15 and older including, but not limited to, evaluations, evidence-based intervention, equipment recommendations and modality application under the referral of a physician or qualified non-physician provider.What you'll doAdministers OT evaluations to inpatients and/or outpatients and determines appropriate treatment programs and/or equipment needs, integrating age specific needs and issues for physical medicine rehabilitation population.Develops a patient-centered treatment plan based upon the evaluation, patient goals and age-related issues/needs to optimize treatment and function. Responsible for assuring the treatment plan supports medical necessity and incorporates evidence-based treatments and outcome measures. Responsible for ensuring the treatment plan is revised/updated appropriately per policy, communicated to appropriate team members including attendance at team conferences, and reviewed and signed off by referring physician (as appropriate).Accurately completes documentation in compliance with department and regulatory timelines to ensure a complete medical record that supports skilled services and appropriate medical necessity.
