Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with patients to evaluate their physical and mental capabilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide ongoing support to help them achieve their goals. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions to help patients improve their functional abilities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and caregivers to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on how to continue therapy exercises and techniques at home
- Stay current with advancements and best practices in occupational therapy and incorporate them into patient care
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of the occupational therapy profession
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure
- Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records
