About the Role:
The Occupational Therapist will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. Primary focus of the OT will be on assessing patients' needs and developing individualized treatment plans that address their specific challenges and goals. The OT will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for each patient. Additionally, the OT will provide education and resources to patients and their families, empowering them to participate actively in the rehabilitation process. Ultimately, OT work will contribute to the overall success of the rehabilitation programs and the well-being of our community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Mississippi state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in rehabilitation or acute care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop effective treatment plans.
- Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions, adjusting plans as necessary based on patient progress.
- Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies to enhance daily living skills and promote independence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
