Job Description:

Position Description: Licensed (OTR) Occupational Therapist Part-Time

Location: Districtwide

Reports to: Director of Special Education, Special Education Supervisors

Salary and terms of Employment:

Anticipated Start Date: August 26, 2026

10-Month Salaried Position Estimated Salary Range $35-45/hour

Schedule:

  • Part-time position with flexible scheduling based on student needs and district requirements.
  • Estimated workload: 15-20 hours per week/follow school calendar

Position Summary:

Montville Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Occupational Therapist to provide evaluation and intervention services for students with disabilities and other educational needs. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students participation and success in the educational environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Registration or completed/passed with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
