Position: Occupational Therapist

Location: Retirement Community (Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care)

Salary: $40-$47 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 35 guaranteed hours per week, no weekend rotation

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team and help us establish a strong rehabilitation program for our residents. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals in our Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care settings to help them maintain or regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and residents' goals

- Implement evidence-based interventions to improve residents' functional abilities and independence

- Collaborate with other members of the care team to ensure a holistic approach to resident care

- Monitor residents' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed

- Provide education and training to residents and their families on how to continue progress and maintain independence

- Document all treatments and progress in residents' medical records

- Communicate regularly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure the best outcomes for residents

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting (Assisted Living, Independent Living, Memory Care)

- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment techniques and modalities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
