Role Description This part-time Occupational Therapist role is an on-site position based in Mountain View, CA. The Occupational Therapist will assess older adults’ functional abilities and needs, develop client-centered treatment plans, and provide individualized and group therapy to support independence in daily activities. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, implementing rehabilitation and wellness programs, documenting progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, and families. The role involves educating clients and their support networks on adaptive strategies, equipment use, fall prevention, and home safety modifications. The Occupational Therapist will also contribute to program development, ensure adherence to professional and regulatory standards, and participate in community outreach or workshops as needed.\n

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of evidence-based interventions.

- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine related to geriatric care, chronic conditions, and safe clinical practices in community-based settings.

- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members, and to provide clear education and counseling.

- Candidates should possess skills and experience in Pediatrics if working with intergenerational programs or younger clients who engage with Avenidas services.

- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.

- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

- Experience working with older adults, community-based or outpatient settings, and a commitment to person-centered, culturally responsive care.

- Ability to work on-site, manage a part-time caseload effectively, maintain accurate documentation, and comply with ethical and regulatory standards.
