We are looking for innovative and motivated OTs to join our Towns Locality Teams in Harrogate and Selby, where you'll play a key role in a service that prioritises keeping people well, reducing reliance on formal care, and supporting individuals to live their best lives.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a forward-thinking, strengths-based service, where your skills will have a direct impact on preventing crisis, reducing hospital admissions, and promoting long-term independence.

About the role

As part of our Occupational Therapy service, you will:

  • Work with people at the earliest opportunity to maximise independence and reduce escalating needs, delivering person-centred, goal-focused assessments and interventions
  • Provide expert advice on equipment, adaptations, assistive technology, and housing solutions
  • Play a key role in identifying and supporting major adaptations, including recommendations for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) to help people remain safely at home
  • Support individuals to remain independent within their own homes and communities for longer
  • Promote health, wellbeing, and self-management
  • Carry out moving & handling and risk assessments
  • Work collaboratively with partners across health, housing, and voluntary and community services

You will be based in either the Harrogate or Selby locality, working flexibly across community settings, including people's homes.

You may also have opportunities to work across different parts of the service, supporting your ongoing development and broadening your experience.

What we are looking for

We are keen to hear from OTs who:

  • Hold a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Are HCPC registered
  • Are passionate about prevention, early intervention, and enabling independence
  • Have experience of assessment and intervention with adults
  • Use a strengths-based, person-centred approach
  • Have strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Are able to travel across North Yorkshire

If you bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to improving outcomes, we want to hear from you.
