Occupational Therapist, Full-Time

Non-Union Position with Salary and Benefits to be outlined in a Conditions of Employment Agreement

Position Follows the Griswold Public Schools' Calendar

General Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students in developing the skills needed to participate successfully in their educational environment. The Occupational Therapist will assess students functional needs, develop individualized treatment plans, provide direct and consultative services, and collaborate with teachers, families, and other members of the school team.

Responsibilities may include supporting fine motor development, handwriting, sensory processing, self-care, visual-motor integration, classroom participation, and access to educational activities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, experience working with children, and a commitment to helping students achieve greater independence and success at school.

Reports to: Director of Student Services.

Terms of Service: School calendar year.

Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and certification issued by the CT State Department of Education. Experience in school-based settings preferred. Knowledge of special education processes and Individual Education programs (IEP's) preferred.

Other Requirements: Background checks (Criminal & DCF) and additional employment terms as described by Griswold Public Schools.
