Occupational Therapist (OT) Acute Care PRN

Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our acute care team in a PRN capacity. We require 2 weekend shifts per month, 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year.

Occupational Therapist PRN Job Responsibilities:

• The Occupational Therapist PRN adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients'' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
• Licensure: VA Occupational Therapist License required upon start.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience working in an acute care setting
