Position Details
- Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Location: Tice Valley Post Acute
- Pay Rate: $55.00-$60.00 per hour, DOE
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide occupational therapy services to improve residents' strength, mobility, coordination, and independence with daily activities.
- Implement therapeutic interventions based on residents' individual needs and care plans.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, and other functional tasks.
- Assess and address safety, mobility, and environmental needs.
- Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, CNAs, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, exercises, and strategies to support independence.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices when appropriate.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations.
- Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and overall quality of life.
- Perform other occupational therapy-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California Occupational Therapist license.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Previous skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, safe, and individualized resident care.
