Job Description
An education services organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) at a school-based facility in Brooklyn. In this role, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide in-person services to school-aged students.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: Flexible scheduling; typical 30-minute lunch; standard business
Setting: School-Based, In-person
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, screenings, and treatment services as assigned
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily treatment notes, quarterly reports, and annual progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success
- Consult with educational staff regarding motor development and classroom accommodations
- Participate in team meetings and complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Active NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Strong pediatric fieldwork experience and excellent references
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a willingness to learn
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree
- Experience working with school-aged children in a school-based setting
- Familiarity with documentation for treatment notes and progress reports
- Experience collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families
