An educational institution is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Manhattan, NY to provide pediatric therapy services within a multidisciplinary school-based setting. This role supports students with brain injury and brain-based disorders through assessment, treatment planning, IEP development, and collaborative care.

Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Setting: Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students using standardized clinical assessment tools and document findings on an ongoing basis.
- Develop treatment goals and plans based on assessment results, student needs, and caregiver input.
- Provide occupational therapy services and modify plans of care based on progress and outcomes.
- Prepare, update, and maintain Individualized Education Programs and related documentation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, families, and caregivers to support student outcomes and safety.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Occupational Therapy degree.
- Experience working with children ages 5-23.
- Ability to provide care in a school-based, interdisciplinary environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds independently.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Experience working with students with brain-based disorders or neurological involvement.
- Experience supporting students with traumatic brain injury, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or medically fragile needs.
- Experience with research activities and evidence-based practice.
- Knowledge of assistive technology, mobility support, or specialized educational services.
