Occupational Therapist (OT) - Per Diem
Linwood Meadows Care Center - Visalia, CA
Pay Range: $60-$65/hour BOE

General Purpose

The Occupational Therapist evaluates residents, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides therapeutic interventions to improve independence with daily living skills, mobility, safety, and overall functional performance.
Essential Duties

  • Evaluate residents and determine occupational therapy needs and rehabilitation potential
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions focused on ADLs, strength, coordination, balance, cognition, and safety
  • Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families regarding progress and goals
  • Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team conferences
  • Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
  • Educate residents and caregivers on home programs, adaptive strategies, and fall prevention
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices to promote independence
  • Supervise COTAs and therapy aides as appropriate
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment and follow infection control procedures
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required
  • Master's or Doctorate preferred

License:
  • Current California Occupational Therapy license in good standing

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Casamba and PointClickCare
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for patient-centered care and functional outcomes
