• 90,000 to 115,000
• $5,000 signing bonus

About the Role

Capitol Academy and Capitol Elementary are respected Non-Public Schools (NPS) serving students with diverse learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our collaborative, student-centered team. As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you'll help students develop the skills they need to participate successfully in school and everyday activities. You'll partner with educators, families, and support staff to evaluate student needs, develop individualized therapy plans, and provide interventions that foster independence, confidence, and academic success.

We partner with local districts to provide individualized academic, behavioral, and socialemotional support in small class settings where teachers truly make an impact.

What You'll Do

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and measurable IEP goals.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to support sensory, fine motor, self-help, and functional skills
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy strategies into the school setting
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (as applicable)
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to support student achievement

Requirements / Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current California Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing
• Experience working with children or in a school-based setting preferred
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education laws and regulations
• Experience supporting students with autism and other developmental differences - preferred
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Strong classroom management and data collection abilities
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
• A passion for teaching and a heart for helping students succeed
