An Occupational Therapist specializing in geriatrics helps elderly individuals maintain, regain, or improve their physical, mental, and social skills necessary for daily living. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for older adults through targeted interventions and personalized care plans.

Setting: Out Patient Clinic

Population: Geriatric population

Monday - Friday NO WEEKENDS

Pay: Depends on experience, and may be flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the needs of elderly patients.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.

• Improve patients' abilities in daily activities (bathing, dressing, eating).

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans and adaptive techniques.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.

• Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Conduct home safety evaluations and recommend modifications.

• Provide guidance on fall prevention and pain management.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapy

• 1-2 years of experience

• 1 year of experience with a frail or elderly population preferred

• Clinical competency with the geriatric population

• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and required auto insurance
