Occupational Therapist FULL TIME **sign on BONUS**

The Healthcare Resort of Topeka in Topeka, KS is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and outpatient services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our community in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective evaluations, reassessments and progress of patients with physical functioning disorders, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and seating/positioning.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist. Assesses patient’s progress and communicates with Occupational Therapist Assistants to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• This role works closely with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and other interdisciplinary team members to help patients improve function, maintain independence, and enhance quality of life.

Qualifications:

• Occupational Therapist license is required.
• Open to OTs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
