A Staff Occupational Therapist is a registered therapist who, under general supervision, is responsible for therapeutic management of a specific caseload of patients from admission through discharge via evaluation, treatment planning and implementation. This position provides support across all University Inpatient floors.
Responsibilities:
- Complete the new patient evaluation, establish customized treatment plans and patient goals, and participate in the implementation of patient care programs
- Deliver and manage high quality patient care for multiple diagnoses
- Maintain a positive patient experience through patient engagement and progressive treatment
- Effectively communicate skills both verbally and in writing
- Promote evidence based patient care
Qualifications:
- Current OT license in state of Florida
- Current hands-on CPR/BLS Certification
- Experience preferred, will consider a new grad
- Knowledge of federal and state professional requirements
Location: Brooks Inpatient Hospital located at 3599 University Blvd S, Jacksonville, FL 32216
Hours: 40 hours per week, 1 weekend day per month
