Outpatient Rehabilitation Services are provided at multiple off campus locations and include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology services for patients across the life span. Pediatric and Adult. Patients may have a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injuries, trauma, burns, chronic pain, birth injuries, and other cardiac and neurology-related conditions.
The goal of rehabilitation services is to increase the functional independence of our patients and improve their quality of life through state-of-the-art evidence-based practices. OT will be part of a team of PT and OT providing world class evidence-based care to patients. Primary caseload will be patients with Hand injuries, surgery, and Burn injuries but OT may be expected to work with some patients from other diagnostic groups to meet the operational needs of the department.
Technical Knowledge Skills and Abilities Stays current with evidence-based practice through professional development activities as appropriate to caseload
Education Masters degree in occupational therapy Certified Hand Therapist or willing to complete CHT within 1 year of hire
Licensure Licensure by the State of Florida as an Occupational Therapist Minimum 1 year experience required
