Occupational Therapist

Location: Panama City, FL

Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Hospital

Department: Rehab Services

Schedule: Day shift | Part-time | Friday - Sunday or Saturday - Monday

• Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs to identify barriers to independence and create personalized recovery goals.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that restore daily living skills, improve functional mobility, and promote safe return to home and community.

• Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions proactively to maximize outcomes and accelerate recovery.

• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and equipment use to build confidence, prevent setbacks, and support long-term success.

• Lead and support occupational therapy assistants and technicians to ensure coordinated, high-quality care aligned with best practice standards.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
