Saint Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas is hiring an Occupational Therapist PRN Plus.
PRN Requirements:
+ The minimum work frequency expected is 6 total shifts, including a minimum of 4 shifts on a weekend day per the SLHS entity's posted work schedule cycle of 8 weeks.
+ Some SLHS entities may require weekday shifts due to specific needs
+ The holiday scheduling requirement is to work a minimum of 2 hard to fill shifts are required in a 12 month period.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating or screening clients after impairment, injury, or disease.
- Planning, designing, and implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment programs following a physician's referral.
- Conducting interventions that may involve therapeutic exercise, functional retraining, thermal and electric modalities, splinting, and various training and retraining skills.
- Periodically reevaluating clients to assess the effectiveness of interventions and contributing to discharge planning.
- Supervising treatment provided by students, technicians, or assistants and recommending client care interventions to other members of the healthcare team.
- Delegating and instructing supportive personnel while performing other duties as requested by the manager.
This role involves working in both the Rehab Institute and SLS acute care.
