    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    As our Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities.

    Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients.

    • Provides Occupational Therapy assessment and therapeutic interventions to individuals within a wide range of diagnoses including general medical, orthopedic, neurologic and cardiovascular in the area of functional activities related to activities of daily living, upper body strength and mobility.
    • Provides education to patients, appropriate family members and friends in order to restore patient's functional independence and reduce or prevent long term disability.
    • Assists the patients to reach their maximum potential and return to their family and community.
    • Coordinates and collaborates with other disciplines and implements the programs of the Rehabilitation Department under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Manager.

    Job Requirements

    Required

    • Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
    • Active Occupational Therapist license in the State of California

    Preferred

    • One year of experience as an O.T.R. in physical disabilities setting, preferably in acute care or acute rehabilitation
