Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy evaluations, screenings, assessments, and direct treatment services to school-aged students in accordance with IEP mandates and educational goals
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care skills, classroom participation, and overall functional independence
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student achievement and educational success
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily treatment notes, progress reports, quarterly updates, annual reviews, and other required compliance records
Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, IEP meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences as needed.
Provide consultation and training to educational staff regarding adaptive strategies, classroom accommodations, sensory supports, and motor development techniques
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Current New York State Occupational Therapist License, or eligibility for licensure with pending NYS OT license
Desired Skills:
Previous experience with the Pediatric population
Experience in a School-based and/or Early intervention role/setting
