Job Title: Occupational Therapist – School
Location: Cicero, IL
Contract Duration: 42 Weeks
Pay Rate:
Local: Up to $40/hr
Travel: Up to $50/hr Including Stipend
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Weekly Hours: 37.5 Hours | Monday – Friday
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Occupational Therapist – School for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cicero, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in a school setting
- Evaluate students for fine motor, sensory, and functional skill needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Deliver therapy in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews
- Maintain documentation and compliance reports
- Support handwriting, motor coordination, and daily living skills development
- Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
- Ensure compliance with district and state education requirements
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license required (in hand prior to start)
- Prior school-based OT experience required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Strong understanding of IEP and special education processes
- In-person availability required (no remote option)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Experience working with pediatric school populations required
- Ability to manage caseload independently in school setting
