Occupational Therapist School Setting in Acton, CA

Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives by supporting growth and development as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with 30+ hours a week. You’ll start as soon as possible and play a vital role in empowering children and adolescents to reach their fullest potential both in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current OT licensure in California (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, evaluations, and goal development
• Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Compassionate, flexible, and creative problem solver

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide individualized therapy and interventions for students with diverse needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEP goals related to motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care
• Offer support and strategies to educators and parents to promote student participation and success in school activities
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
• Act as an advocate for students’ occupational therapy needs within the school setting
