Position Overview
Wrights Healthcare and Rehab in Seminole, FL is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead patient-centered care, helping residents recover and regain independence following illness, injury, or surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve ADLs, functional mobility, strength, and cognition
- Supervise and collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT, SLP, nursing, and physicians
- Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
Qualifications
- Current Florida Occupational Therapist (OTR) license
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or subacute rehabilitation preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Leadership ability and team-oriented mindset
