Occupational Therapist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist to join a team in Tacoma, Washington. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients of all ages and backgrounds to help them achieve their maximum level of independence and functionality in daily activities.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and client goals

- Utilize various therapeutic techniques and interventions to improve clients' motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing

- Train clients in the use of adaptive equipment and techniques to improve their ability to perform daily tasks

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care for clients

- Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans

- Educate clients and their families on strategies for managing and coping with their condition

- Document all client interactions and progress in a timely and accurate manner

- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in occupational therapy techniques and treatments

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Washington

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist

- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and interventions

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient demeanor

- Ability to adapt to different client needs and situations

- Proficient in using technology for documentation and communication purposes

Contract Details:

This is a full-time position paying $55 - $65 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits, including health insurance and paid time off, will be provided. The contract length will be discussed and agreed upon with the selected candidate.
