Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Salary Range: $38.86 - $41.42 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday (no weekend rotation)

Employment Type: Full-time

Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at our Skilled Nursing Facility. As an OT, you will work with patients to help them regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Your role will involve assessing patients' physical and mental abilities, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic activities to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, mental, and emotional abilities

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and physician recommendations

- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, strength, and mobility

- Provide education and training to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to improve daily living activities

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation team members, to ensure comprehensive care for patients

- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary team

- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with facility policies and procedures

- Stay current with industry developments and best practices through continuing education and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

- Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical record systems
