Position Summary (.8 FTE)
The Winneconne Community School District is seeking a student-centered, collaborative, and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the IEP framework and be dedicated to building positive relationships with students, staff, and families to support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluations & Interventions: Conduct comprehensive student evaluations to determine functional levels and design customized therapy plans aligned with educational goals.
Collaboration & Consultation: Partner closely with special education and general education teams; provide actionable consultation on classroom modifications and accommodations.
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records including evaluation reports, progress updates, IEP documentation, daily therapy notes, and Medicaid billing.
Evidence-Based Practice: Implement current, research-backed practices to support student development and transition services.
Qualifications & Requirements
License/Certification: Must hold (or be eligible to obtain) Wisconsin DPI License 0051 - Occupational Therapist.
Pre-employment Screenings: Successful completion of a criminal background check, physical, TB test, and drug screen are required per Wis. Stats. §118.25.
