Help Patients Stay Independent at Home

@Home Therapy is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide home health occupational therapy services in Queens.

Work one-on-one with adult and geriatric patients in their homes, helping them improve independence with everyday activities while enjoying the flexibility to create your own schedule.

What You'll Do:
  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Help patients improve independence with ADLs and IADLs, including dressing, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and other daily activities.
  • Reinforce upper extremity exercises, fine motor skills, coordination, balance during functional tasks, and home safety techniques.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment, energy conservation, fall prevention, and safe performance of daily activities.
  • Monitor patient progress, communicate changes to the supervising OT, and complete timely EMR documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Current New York State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in the community.
  • Home health experience is a plus but not required.
