At VitalCaring, we don’t just provide care - we help patients regain independence and confidence in the place they call home. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you play a vital role in helping patients rebuild the skills they need for daily living following illness or injury.

    What You’ll Do

Work under the direction of a Licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver personalized, goal-driven care:

    • Implement treatment plans to improve patients’ ability to perform daily activities
    • Provide hands-on therapy focused on strength, coordination, mobility, and self-care
    • Retrain patients in ADLs (dressing, bathing, meal prep, etc.)
    • Assess and report on patient progress, function, and home safety needs
    • Educate patients and caregivers on techniques, exercises, and safety strategies
    • Identify changes in condition and communicate proactively with the OT and care team
    • Complete timely, accurate documentation in the EMR
    • Support a safe, effective, and coordinated plan of care

    • Current CPR certification
    • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
    • Strong clinical observation, communication, and time management skills
    • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

    What Sets You Apart

    • Experience delivering therapy in patient homes vs. facility settings
    • Ability to adapt care plans to real-life home environments
