Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Location IU Health Arnett Hospital Lafayette, IN

Shift Full-Time Mon - Fri; one weekend day/month may be required.

Experience 3 months of acute care experience preferred. Will consider new grads with acute care fieldwork experience.

Roles and Responsibilities COTAs assist in the clinical education of occupational therapy students and clinical supervision of occupational therapist assistant students, as well as provide guidance and supervision for support personnel. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education, and department operations.

Requirements

  • Requires an Associates Degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
  • If foreign trained: graduation from an assistant occupational therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
  • Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
  • Requires current license in the State of Indiana.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
