The Thomas B. Finan Center is an inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Cumberland, Maryland. It is owned and managed by the state of Maryland. This state psychiatric facility operates 88 beds. The Finan Center provides services to persons who are 18 years of age and older.

Main Purpose of Job
This Occupational Therapy Assistant position is the full performance level of work providing limited occupational therapist treatments to patients/residents under the direction of an occupational therapist at the Thomas B. Finan Center. This Occupational Therapy Assistant position will be responsible for formulating Occupational Therapy treatment plans based on OT evaluations performed and treatment team assessments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Â Â Determined by the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice under the licensing requirements for Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistants
Experience: Two years of experience as a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant. Â

Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice, Spring Grove Hospital Center, 55 Wade Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21228.
Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and maintain current certification.Â
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operatorâs license valid in the State of Maryland.
