We are looking for a motivated Ocean Import Operations Assistant to manage the full cycle of ocean import processes, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective cargo movement.

  • Handle end-to-end FCL and LCL ocean import files, including ISF, customs clearance, and delivery arrangements.
  • Communicate daily with steamship lines, truckers, customs brokers, warehouses, and customers.
  • Prepare and review import documentation such as BL, invoice, and packing list.
  • Coordinate with government agencies like CBP, FDA, USDA when needed.
  • Update shipment milestones and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide proactive communication and resolve issues for clients.
  • Support billing, cost entry, and file closing per procedures.

  • Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in ocean import operations within freight forwarding or NVOCC.
  • Knowledge of HTS, Incoterms, ISF, customs entry, and U.S. import regulations.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software.
