This role ensures timely, compliant, and cost‑effective movement of cargo from international origins to final destination, while maintaining strong communication with customers, carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.What You Will DoManage ocean import shipments from booking through final deliveryTrack and trace shipments; proactively resolve delays or exceptionsCoordinate with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and trucking companiesReview and process import documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists)Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and other governing agenciesWork closely with customs brokers to facilitate timely clearanceServe as primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment statusProvide timely updates, problem resolution, and shipment milestonesMaintain strong relationships with customers and vendorsAccurately enter shipment details into transportation management systems (TMS)Maintain shipment files and ensure data integrityGenerate reports and provide status updates as neededIdentify and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or damagesCoordinate corrective actions with internal and external partnersEscalate issues when necessaryVerify and process vendor invoicesEnsure accurate billing to customersMonitor costs and identify opportunities for efficiencyWhat We Are Looking ForHigh School Diploma or GEDBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred)2–5 years of experience in ocean imports, freight forwarding, or logisticsStrong knowledge of international shipping processes and import regulationsFamiliarity with Incoterms, customs procedures, and documentationBenefitsWith a genuine culture of recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop, and be part of our journey.
