Core Responsibilities:

As a Reporting Analyst in the Data and Analytics Unit of the Office of Child and Family Services you will provide support to the Data and Analytics Team in the production, analysis, monitoring and auditing of child and family services and child protection data for use by OCFS, DHHS, other State Departments, the Maine State Legislature, Federal Government and other partners. This position is responsible for running and distributing routine data reports, logging and tracking incoming data requests, conferring with the team on priority, estimated completion dates and assignment recommendations. The position will also learn to complete requests using appropriate data systems, software and programming, assuring that all data produced and released is authorized and approved by the OCFS Director/Associate Directors, OCFS Business Managers and/or the DHHS Commissioner.

The OCFS Reporting Analyst will assist with the production, review and audit of all required Federal reporting and participate in special projects and new technological and data initiatives as needed.

A well-qualified candidate will be detailed oriented, able to multitask and effectively manage and meet deadlines, be highly skilled with Microsoft Excel and Access software, and have experience working with and testing large datasets. Experience or training using Salesforce reporting software preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

In order to qualify, you must have six (6) years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

1. A thorough knowledge of and recent experience utilizing Information Data Systems to produce data and reporting.

2. A general knowledge of database fundamentals and understanding of relational database structure.

3. Advanced knowledge and specific experience with the use of Microsoft Excel software, including the creation of datasets, charts, graphs, and pivot tables

4. A record of exceptional customer service, organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
