Description

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking an OCO Virtualization Product Manager to join our Mission Services team. In this role you will get to define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for cyber mission systems, with a focus on virtualization and containerization technologies, in support of OCO.

  • This is an onsite position located in Columbia, MD and requires a TS/SCI w/CI Poly*

What You'll Do:

  • Provide thought leadership and work with key stakeholders to understand requirements, build partnerships, and provide technology solutions for virtualized and containerized environments.
  • Lead Product backlog refinement, ensuring features and capabilities for virtualization and containerization platforms are well defined, prioritized, and decomposed into actionable user stories.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers, Release Train Engineers, and Scrum Masters to drive Program Increment (Pl) execution, risk mitigation, and cross-team collaboration for virtualization and containerization projects.
  • Engage with government stakeholders to gather feedback and align capability delivery for virtualized and containerized solutions.
  • Participate in technical exchange meetings (TEMs), operational working groups, and other OCO forums related to virtualization and containerization.
  • Partner with clients to understand business objectives, user behaviors, and product vision, develop product concepts, roadmaps, test plans, and functional specifications for virtualized and containerized applications.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to conceptualize, design, and deliver multi-platform applications for virtualized and containerized environments.
  • Lead engagements alongside company partners as well as the top designers and technologists in the industry

Education/Experience/Skillset Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science or related field with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with government agencies or contractors in the intelligence or defense sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies such as vSphere and vCenter, orchestration of virtual machine deployment and management. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes, and concepts of shared service meshes with services such as Keycloak, MinlO, and Vault.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, along with experience with Agile methodologies and cloud services.
  • Proven experience in building enterprise-grade products from concept to launch.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including various infrastructure platforms.
  • Proficiency with agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in the development of products and/or management in a development environment. They build and implement product strategies aligned with the OCO PMO's vision, develop roadmaps, and prioritize features for virtualization and containerization platforms.
  • Facilitate interactions between all stakeholders and actively interacting.
  • Proactive, hands-on leader who takes ownership, engages stakeholders and supports the teams needs.
  • Guides and mentor junior staff and collaborate across teams to shape requirements and deliver products on time and within budget.
  • Comprehensive training on installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere.
  • In-depth training on administering Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • Training on the NATS.io messaging system for building scalable and resilient distributed systems.
  • Training that demonstrates expertise in designing, implementing, and managing a best-in-class cybersecurity program.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or similar Agile certification(s) is desirable. VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar certifications are highly desirable.

US Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
