Shape mornings across your city as our OCS Route Sales Representative

Imagine starting your day with a full truck, a set route, and customers who count on you to keep their coffee and tea programs humming. In this role, you provide route relief when needed, deliver and merchandise products, and make sure every beverage station looks great and performs flawlessly. You’ll build relationships, solve problems on the fly, and grow revenue stop by stop.

What your day looks like

  • Load up and hit your assigned route to deliver, replenish, and rotate coffee, tea, and related items at every stop.
  • Check brewers and equipment, clean as you go, and perform at least one CQC (Cup Quality Check) daily to ensure quality.
  • Follow the daily service schedule so every customer receives timely delivery and service.
  • Manage invoices, inventory, and on-site collections while on route.
  • Drive Revenue per Stop by closing distribution gaps on core items, executing seasonal and LTO promotions, applying pricing actions, and keeping beverage stations fully to standard.
  • Escalate issues quickly to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) and follow through to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Spot inefficiencies or opportunities during route relief and inform the ASM.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts, warehouse tasks, and customer-related projects as assigned.
  • Learn brewing equipment basics to make minor repairs or adjustments.
  • Use the Farmer Brothers customer call process (The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell) to build loyalty; make opportunistic sales calls as time allows.
  • Pitch in as needed with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service activities.

Schedule and driving requirements

  • Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Route delivery experience is a plus.
  • Background in customer service preferred; foodservice experience is a bonus.
  • Clean, strong driving record.

Skills that set you apart

  • Mechanical aptitude with company hardware and software.
  • Sharp at understanding customer needs and opportunities.
  • Aligned with business goals and committed to follow-through.
  • Quick to recognize issues, problems, or opportunities and act on them.
  • Strong self-awareness and impact on others.
  • Active listener; clear, effective communicator with customers and management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to proactively grow the business.
  • Relationship builder who earns trust and cooperation.
  • Sound business judgment and independent decision-making.
  • Works well with customers and team members; highly proactive.
