Job Overview
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improve the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center, the College of Medicines faculty and providers are transforming the world of medicine every day.
The Department of Ophthalmology is an expansive department that spans all sub-specialties in ophthalmology. It is affiliated with the Cincinnati Eye Institute, one of the largest eye care practices in the country. The department is seeking an academic Assistant/Associate Professor of Ophthalmology as an Oculoplastic surgeon for a part-time, non-tenure track position.
The oculoplastics service is an active faculty group performing cases ranging from simple cosmetic and functional procedures to complex orbital and reconstructive surgery. Since resident education is a prominent feature in the oculoplastics service, enthusiasm for teaching is preferred for this position. The successful applicant will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits, and the final faculty rank/title will be commensurate with the candidates experience.
