OD Grind machinists produce precision parts efficiently while meeting specifications. They perform set-ups with minimal supervision, conduct quality inspections, and record data. They identify process improvements to reduce variation and promote continuous improvement. Candidates should have 3-5 years of CNC grinding experience, proficiency in inspection methods, and ability to maintain tight tolerances. Knowledge of machine tool accuracy, cutting parameters, and blueprint interpretation is essential. Ideal candidates will be familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, and quality standards like AS9100. Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for long periods is required.
