We are currently hiring an experienced OD Machine Operator for a precision grinding company in Addison, IL.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual and/or CNC OD grinding machines, be comfortable reading blueprints, and have strong experience using precision measuring tools.
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Available Start Times:
4:00 AM–12:30 PM
5:00 AM–1:30 PM
6:00 AM–2:30 PM
7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Responsibilities
Safely operate CNC, N/C, and manual OD grinding machines
Set up and operate grinding equipment according to job specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and technical drawings
Verify finished-part dimensions using:
Micrometers
Dial indicators
Gauge blocks
Calipers
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
Monitor machine performance and production rates
Identify and report safety, quality, machine, or productivity issues
Complete production and inspection paperwork accurately
Follow all company safety procedures and standard operating procedures
Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers
