Position Overview

Midwest Fire is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Part-Time Business Support Assistant to provide administrative and office support for our growing team. This role provides broad support across all areas of the business, assisting with daily office operations and a variety of administrative, operational, and customer-focused activities. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with customers, vendors, and employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Perform data entry and maintain records, including labor sheets, sales orders, bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, and inventory transactions.

• Maintain and update truck production books, work order travelers, and related documentation

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls.

• Greet and assist customers, vendors, and visitors.

• Support daily office operations and administrative functions.

• Assist with projects and business activities across multiple departments.

• Uphold Midwest Fire's safety and professionalism standards.

• Complete other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous office or administrative experience preferred

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Accurate 10-key data entry skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Dependable, punctual attendance, and willing to support the team wherever needed

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position Primarily works in an office environment with frequent use of computers, phones, and other standard office equipment. Requires prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and viewing computer screens. Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 20 pounds and have the ability to move throughout office and production areas as needed. May be exposed to moderate noise levels, occasional exposure to fumes, and airborne particles when visiting manufacturing or production areas. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions.
