Job Summary: The office administrator is the person responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the The Lincoln Academy office. The office administrator is the communications and operations center for the partnership between internal and external stakeholders in achieving educational excellence for all children. This position will support and uphold the vision of The Lincoln Academy. It is the expectation that this individual will work with colleagues, parents, and scholars to create a school environment that is focused on academic rigor, character development and career exploration. TLA is a school where scholars and families are supported, while maintaining high expectations for all. The office administrator is expected to fully embrace the school's methodology and uphold the high expectations of The Lincoln Academy. The office administrator will support an equitable environment with rigorous instruction, joyous interactions, and strong community partnerships. Though it is impossible to list all roles the office administrator will fill, specific job responsibilities include:
Essential Functions:
Greet families and other guests to our school, often serving as the first point of service-focused contact in our school
Provide exceptional customer service to all who call or enter the school office
Ensure visitor protocols are followed
Handle form intake including enrollment, registration, health forms, and other school-related paperwork
Answer phones, reply to emails, sort mail, and handle all communication flowing through the main office
Sell school uniforms, collect school fees, and ensure proper record keeping related to purchases and money intake
Reach out to families for a variety of reasons including scholar absences, key announcements, and billing issues
Serve as an active member of scholar recruitment and enrollment efforts including reaching out to potentially interested families
Contribute in a variety of ways, including opportunities to support staff (e.g. making copies, running an errand, etc.)
Work with scholars directly, including occasional supervision duties, as needed
Support school administration to ensure appropriate and timely communication
Answer questions, follow policies and protocols to ensure an efficient and consistent operation of the school
Other duties as requested

Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Applicable work experience without a degree will also be considered.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years office experience, school setting preferred
Physical Demands/Working Conditions: The majority of this job involves walking, sitting, or standing, necessary to observe school activities, mostly indoors. The ability to physically perform the duties and work in the school setting is required. Some conditions include:
Must be able to stand up to 2 hours supporting staff, scholars, and families
Must be able to sit and look at a computer monitor, using a keyboard/mouse and typing, for up to 2 hours at a time
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs on a frequent basis
