Office Assistant / Employment Support Coordinator
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

A local non-profit organization is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated individual to join its team in an expanded Office Assistant / Employment Support role. This position combines administrative and office support responsibilities with direct interaction with program participants. The ideal candidate will be comfortable helping individuals prepare for employment, access community resources, and navigate barriers that may affect their ability to obtain and maintain employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general office and administrative support to the organization and program staff.
- Provide ongoing job readiness support to program participants, including:
- Resume writing and updates
- Assistance completing online job applications
- Conducting mock interviews and interview preparation
- Assist participants in identifying and accessing community resources that may help address barriers to employment.
- Provide guidance and referrals for resources related to education, housing, childcare, counseling, healthcare, family crisis support, and other services needed to support long-term employment and career stability.
- Keep participants informed of relevant community events and employment opportunities.
- Counsel and assist participants with navigating Erie County Department of Social Services and other community resources to help maintain program compliance.
- Process and fulfill approved mobility fund requests as needed.
- Maintain organized records and documentation while handling sensitive participant information professionally and confidentially.
- Communicate effectively with program participants, community organizations, and internal staff.
- Perform additional administrative and program support duties as assigned.
Compensation & Schedule
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM.
The pay range for this expanded role is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
