Overview

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts for clinical’s needed to obtain authorization.
• Call insurance companies to obtain authorization and benefits, collect any deductible or out-of-pocket max before procedure / surgery from patients.
• Ability to navigate insurance web site to obtain authorizations.
• Strong computer skills in data entry, knowledge of Electronic Medical Record software; Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
• Work independently or as an active member of a team, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of medical authorization experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including data entry and Electronic Medical Record software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
