Office Clerk Assistant

Job Type: Part-Time

Location: Visalia, CA (on-site)

Schedule: [e.g., 15–20 hrs/week, flexible around payroll deadlines]

Pay: $20.00 – $26.00/hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do

• Process payroll accurately and on time for hourly field technicians and office staff

• Calculate hours, overtime, and deductions in compliance with California labor law

• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and timekeeping data

• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies

• Prepare and file required payroll tax forms (e.g., 941, DE 9) as needed

• Answer employee questions about pay, deductions, and time records

• Keep employee data confidential and secure

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years of payroll or bookkeeping experience preferred

• Experience with payroll software (QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, or similar)

• Familiarity with California wage and hour laws (overtime, sick pay, minimum wage)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets

• Trustworthy and discreet with confidential information

Nice to Have

• Experience with hourly/field-service payroll

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
