Office Clerk (Accounting Support)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Clerk to support a busy accounting office. This role is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support while assisting with data entry, reporting, document management, and general office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team and assist with day-to-day office operations
  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate financial and departmental records
  • Prepare, organize, scan, file, and retrieve documents as needed
  • Assist with report generation, data reconciliation, and spreadsheet management
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with general inquiries
  • Support invoice processing, recordkeeping, and other accounting-related clerical tasks
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
  • Assist with special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous office, clerical, administrative, or accounting support experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data management
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting an accounting, finance, or business office
  • Data entry and reporting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
