    Description

    Washington College's Global Education Office (GEO) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to serve as Office Coordinator.

    The successful candidate will provide global education program coordination and effective use of technology, especially TerraDotta, to support international education initiatives. Additionally, the role will include serving as an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) to maintain immigration files for international visiting students and scholars to ensure compliance with federal regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Technology & Data Management

    • Serve as liaison between Washington College’s IT office and Terra Dotta’s Technical Integration Specialists to develop and maintain TerraDotta study abroad and risk management programming.
    • Utilize TerraDotta, a study abroad and international student management system, to track student applications, program participation, and compliance requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records of international programs, agreements, and institutional partnerships.
    • Support the development of digital resources and online application systems for study abroad students.

    Immigration & Compliance Support

    • Provide guidance on visa requirements, travel restrictions, and international student immigration policies.
    • Work closely with the Responsible Officer (RO) to ensure compliance with SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) regulations.
    • Maintain international visiting exchange students’ SEVIS documentation and visa processes to maintain legal status.

    Risk Management & Emergency Response

    • Support emergency response plans for students abroad.
    • Follow crisis communication protocols and serve as a secondary point of contact in case of emergencies.

    Global Education & Programs Experience

    • Experience in administrative roles within higher education, global education, or international student services.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Communication, International Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Required Skills: Superior experience with TerraDotta including website management, study abroad, risk management, and program management.

    · Study Abroad:

    Create new partner university website pages; updating costs, fees and partner website pages each semester; updating and maintaining partner specific online application forms.

    · Travel Registry:

    Develop blank templates for faculty led, research, and approved college intentional travel

    · AlertTraveler:

    Confirm and assist with registration for faculty, students and staff on all approved international travel to ensure 24/7 safety and emergency support of travelers.

    · International MOUs and Contracts:

    Maintain, and update the international contracts database, including addendums; related projects and programs; and cataloging related programs and events for each partner contract.

    · Dashboards:

    Developing visual platforms to report and track trends in international travel, emergencies, country warnings, outbound/inbound ratios of exchange students, etc.

    Mandatory:

    This position includes serving as an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for the SEVIS Student and Exchange and Visitor Program (SEVP). The ARO will provide support to international semester exchange students and update records in the SEVP website.

    US citizenship and criminal background verification to serve as Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) per Federal requirements
