At Lutheran Family and Children's Services (LFCS), we have a 157-year history of empowering children and families to overcome life's toughest challenges. When you join our team, you're becoming a part of a mission that transforms lives and builds brighter futures-now and for generations to come.

Why LFCS?

  • Impactful Mission: Join a team dedicated to creating safety and stability for kids across Missouri.
  • A Legacy of Change: Be part of an organization that creates a lasting impact in the communities we serve.

Your Role:

As the Office Coordinator, you'll be the driving force behind a well-organized, welcoming, and efficient office. Your work will empower our teams to focus on what matters most, serving children and families. By keeping operations running smoothly, supporting staff across departments, and creating an exceptional experience for employees, clients, and visitors, you'll play an essential role in advancing LFCS's mission every day.

What You will Do:

  • Oversee daily office operations by maintaining an organized, welcoming, and efficient workplace, managing office resources, coordinating schedules, ensuring adequate supplies, and supporting a safe and professional environment.
  • Serve as the central support hub for staff and leadership by coordinating communications, preparing reports and correspondence, facilitating meetings, maintaining records, and providing administrative support across departments.
  • Support employee engagement and Human Resources processes by assisting with onboarding, preparing workspaces, maintaining personnel documentation, and helping create positive employee experience.
  • Coordinate facilities, technology, and vendor relationships by managing service requests, supporting office maintenance needs, conducting safety inspections, and partnering with internal teams and external providers to resolve issues.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming visitors, clients, donors, and community partners; managing front desk operations; responding to questions; and creating a positive experience for everyone who interacts with LFCS.
  • Assist with financial and development-related activities by processing donations and deposits, supporting office events, coordinating mailings, managing RSVPs, and assisting with donor and community outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate to improve office processes and strengthen team culture by partnering with other Office Coordinators, identifying opportunities for improvement, supporting engagement activities, and contributing to a positive, mission-driven workplace.

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma with five years of progressive administrative office experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office platforms and technology.
  • A detail-oriented person, able to manage multiple priorities, solve problems independently, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to provide a professional, welcoming, and responsive customer service.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture through teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
