Overview:

The Office Coordinator HME (“Home Medical Equipment”) serves as the administrative hub of an assigned branch location, ensuring the efficient operation of the office. This role ensures seamless communication and accurate documentation flow between Nurse Navigator HME, Service Technician HME, and Branch Manager HME personnel The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and deeply familiar with medical documentation requirements, ensuring that compliance is maintained and patient equipment needs are met efficiently.  This position typically reports to the Branch Manager HME or Nurse Navigator HME at a certain location. 

Responsibilities:
  • Nurse Navigator HME Support: 
  • Under Nurse Navigator HME guidance – receive, review, and organize incoming documentation for patients. 
  • Service Technician HME Support: 
  • Prepare delivery tickets, setup instructions, and patient compliance paperwork for Service Technician HME. 
  • Update tracking systems to reflect delivery schedules, equipment pickups, and maintenance requests. 
  • Ensure Service Technician HME return completed, signed delivery documentation to the office. 
  • Billing Support: 
  • Review all completed order files for documentation accuracy and completion before billing. 
  • Assist in resolving basic billing denials or front-end documentation errors that delay claim submission.  
  • General Administration: 
  • Interacts with patients to address inquiries, concerns and complaints 
  • Interacts with clinicians to support service delivery and route complex inquiries to the appropriate personnel 
  •  Maintain secure, HIPAA-compliant electronic and physical patient records. 
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or durable medical equipment (“DME”) environment. 
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 coding basicsDME documentation standards. 
  • Skills: Proficiency to learn DME software and use standard spreadsheet software. Excellent data entry speed and accuracy. 
  • Attributes: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Licensure: A valid and active LPN license in the state of practice, TN. 

 

Pay Range: USD $27.00 - USD $32.00 /Hr.
