The Office Coordinator provides administrative support to the Outpatient Physical Therapy department maintaining the departmental calendar, scheduling patients for outpatient appointments, maintaining patients’ records and collecting/auditing statistical data daily/monthly.
· You will collect data regarding patient test results and office visits from locations including HCA hospitals, physician’s offices, outside laboratory. Post this information in the patient’s electronic and paper record.
· You will maintain patient records to meet regulatory standards including assisting in documentation of reason for visits to assist in coding to facilitate the billing process. You will also file and fax records to the referring physician offices.
· Open and sort mail for the transplant office staff, answer phones and triage messages for the Outpatient Physical Therapy staff.
· Help maintain current insurance coverage by scanning current insurance and prescription cards into eCW.
· Assist administrative and other staff with planning classes, conferences, quality improvement meetings and patient recognition events. Complete the application for CME’s, when needed.
· Extensive clerical knowledge, organizational abilities, and ability to manage multiple tasks from multiple professional staff
· Typing skills and previous experience in a physician or medical office setting are required
· Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft office, Meditech, transplant database
* Possess the ability to work 8a -4p, at least one day per week as well as provide PTO coverage as needed
